The other day, though, I made my first pencil drawing since getting the tablet, and I found it much more gratifying. The physicality and tangibility of it is incredibly satisfying, and I often bring my face very close to the paper, which doesn't really work on a computer. .__.
Since then I've picked up traditional Chinese brush-painting (again) and have delved back into watercolors. I haven't spent a ton of time on either of those, but I mean to pursue them, and I can see fun times for me and my paint sets in the future
Just wanted to record this story of technolust, technofulfillment, and then a return to traditional materials...although I do plan to experiment further on the tablet and milk it for all it's worth.
(I'm going to submit some of the stuff I've been doing in traditional mediums as soon as I figure out how to get the ornery scanner at my house working...*crosses fingers*)
Love!
